Please be advised that the Wiley 2026 Gold/Fully Open Access (OA) Fund is expected to be depleted by 28 September 2026, approximately three months before the next annual allocation becomes available in January 2027.
Articles reaching the acceptance and licence-signing stage during this period will therefore require an alternative arrangement to cover the Article Processing Charge (APC). A 20% discount will be applied to the journal’s APC fee should authors wish to proceed with immediate OA publication.
This agreement commenced in 2022 and has been renewed for a further four years (2026-2029).
Institutions participating in the SANLiC/Wiley agreement have access to over 1 400 subscription-based journal titles published in the Wiley Online Library. Affiliated authors can also publish in Wiley’s hybrid journals without paying article processing charges (APCs). If a hybrid journal flips to gold between 2026-2029, researchers will still publish OA articles in these journals without paying APCs.

Number of included articles
There is no limit on the number of articles that can be published open access in the Wiley hybrid journals by authors affiliated with participating institutions. For Gold journals, publishing for free will be paused when the fund limit is exhausted.
