It is great pleasure to announce the appointment of Frieda Billson as Licensing Manager, effective 1 July 2025. Frieda brings over two decades of experience in the management and optimisation of electronic library resources.
She holds a Bachelor of Information Science (Honours) degree from the University of Pretoria. Her career began at Swets, where she served as a Subscription Agent for seven years. In 2011, she joined the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) as an Electronic Resources Specialist, a role she has held for the past 14 years. During her tenure, she has played a key role in the negotiation, activation, evaluation, and promotion of electronic resources, contributing significantly to research support and library efficiency.
